Clan Name: Akiko
Location: Kurayamigakure no Sato
History: The Akiko clan is a very powerful Senjutsu clan. Their rituals of long ago created a bond like no other with the nature around them: which essentially changed them for forever. The Akiko clan lived in peace for hundreds of years, having settled first into the land of Sabakugakure no Sato. They thrived there in the bright sunlight and constant heat, living near an oasis that kept them constantly near a body of water which was quite important for the plant-like clan.
Their power, however, was something that brought far too much attention to the clan. Soon the Nightmare organization which had settled into Kurayamigakure no Sato took a liking to the idea of the clan's power. By night many were kidnapped and the rest slaughtered. Those who were kidnapped were experimented on like animals, forced to reproduce to keep their population up. The newest born were taken from their parents and forced to become soldiers which allowed them to tap into their Senjutsu abilities far earlier than normal.
When the Nightmare organization was destroyed the Akiko clan's suffering did not end: those who came after continued on with the experiments and forced the clan to stay alive.
Now, however, is a new dawn for the village: what will this bring for the clan?
Description of clan ability: While the clan members do not indeed look like plants their bodies act like them very much. They do not eat and instead get nourishment from light, causing them to be immune to light based techniques. They absorb water through their skin as well, causing them to be immune to Suiton based techniques.

Description: Due to their 'breathable' skin clan members literally breath through their skin instead of breathing normally. This also allows them to absorb moisture through their skin and become immune to suiton based techniques. Members of this clan cannot be fully clothed or they will suffocate (unless special clothing is apped).

Description: Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy, normally from the Sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the organisms' activities. Due to this when the clan member is in the presence of sunlight or Light Release techniques they gain a +2 in power to all jutsu (this includes when they are using Light Release as well).

[b]Description:[/b] Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy, normally from the Sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the organisms' activities. Due to this when the clan member is in the presence of sunlight or Light Release techniques they gain a +2 in power to all jutsu (this includes when they are using Light Release as well).
Depending on their abilities as a Sage and the various training they have had members of this clan receive special affects when going into "Sage Mode". These effects vary depending on the rank of training they have had.
Acolyte: +1 Rank to Speed, Strength, Perception, and Endurance. Caps at SS-3.
Sage: +2 Rank to Speed, Strength, Perception, and Endurance. Caps at SS-3.
Master: SSS-1 to Speed, Strength, Perception, and Endurance.
Sage mode regardless of mastery level takes +25 chakra to maintain. Due to it taking chakra the user's suffer no ill effects. Everyone in this clan starts off as an Acolyte unless given specific permission from an Admin to start off higher.
Drawbacks: Due to the fact that this clan has breathable skin they can easily suffocate. They cannot wear a lot of clothing due to this. All members of this clan must pay an additional 1,500 Ryo per armor/wearable item regardless of the rank of that item (this does not include Fuuinjutsu seals, curse seals, placed on their bodies: those cost the normal price).
Due to their skin all members of the clan take an additional +1 in damage from Katon based attacks.
Jutsu:Due to all of the boosts this clan receives they do not start out with any jutsu. They may make custom clan jutsu later if they so choose at no Ryo cost, but those jutsu must be trained following normal training word counts.
